Thanks for those who were concerned about me. The tsunami hit near the recent Yogya earthquake. Same fault line but different island.

Every time I hear Indonesia in the news, it's a new disaster. How are people coping?? NGOs? Any help from Aceh or are they still separate operations for the rest of Indonesia?
Can't remember the last time Indonesia was in the news for something positive. Perhaps the 1998 elections?
Most of the NGOs and aid agencies operate seperate programs for Aceh versus the rest of Indonesia. I know the red crosses have sent teams down to the Java tsunami affected areas. But not to sound mean, but doesn't seem like a lot of people in Aceh are super concerned about the new disaster. 400 deaths versus 120,000.
Seems like Indonesia got the short end of the stick when they handed out geological stability... stay safe!
