"Aaa-Weeh!"
That's how the people say A&W here.
A&W has arrived in Banda. My office is filled with these plastic cups they gave out on opening weekend.
The Mozza Burger = CRAP Fish Sandwich = Not so bad but so tiny! Chicken Strips = Looks can be deceiving Rootbeer = Sweeter than I remembered Curly Fries = Mmmmmmm, soo good
The chicken strips look not so tempting but taste pretty good! I'll take a picture of it the next time I get it.
Another Observation: Portion Size
Fries only come in one size, and by American standards, they'd be considered as XXS. The fish sandwich is probably 1/2 the mass of the fillet o' fish - but I don't remember the last time I had one of those, I think it was Spring 2002 when I interned in SF and went with the 2 boys who loved their FOF. The only thing at A&W that is American-sized is the rootbeer.

which begs the questions ... what do the chicken strips look like?
They taste better than they look or they look better than they taste?
I once had a cheeseburger from there that tasted like celery. I hope the A&W in Aceh is better than the A&W in Stamford, CT.

I really miss root beer. I haven't found that anywhere outside of the States so far (since I started looking on this trip anyway). Drink up for me!
